If all goes to plan, Katie Holmes will strut her stuff on So You Think You Can Dance this season, the show's producer Nigel Lythgoe confirms to PEOPLE. "It's about a charity [but] I do not have the status," Lythgoe said after Thursday night's elimination show, adding that producers are still waiting for a green light from official channels, including the IRS, before making any further announcements. "It's just not legal to talk about it at the moment," he explained.

A court in Cairo has confirmed death sentences against a billionaire former politician and a security guard for the murder of Lebanese star Suzanne Tamim. Hisham Talaat Moustafa was found guilty in May of paying $2m (£1.2m) to Muhsin Sukkari to kill the singer. Under Islamic law, the sentences of death by hanging had to be approved by Egypt's religious authorities.

Farrah Fawcett, the blonde-maned actress whose best-selling poster and "Charlie's Angels" stardom made her one of the most famous faces in the world, died Thursday. She was 62.
Fawcett's death was confirmed by Paul Bloch, one of her representatives at Rogers and Cowan, an entertainment public relations firm. Fawcett, who checked into a hospital in early April, had been battling anal cancer on and off for three years. Bloch told CNN that Ryan O'Neal, Fawcett's romantic partner since the mid-1980s, and her friend Alana Stewart were with Fawcett at Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California, when she died. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world," O'Neal said in a written statement.
Diaz, who starred with Cruise in 2001's Vanilla Sky, says that she will once again appear on screen with the star. According to Variety, the pair have approved the script for "Wichita", a flick about an undercover agent who meets a woman who's had nothing but bad luck with men.
